2018-2019 GIRLS BASKETBALL RESULTS

February 4, 2019
The 8th grade girls finished the season with a 12-2 record and the 2nd seed entering the league tournament.  The Lady Falcons opened the tournament with a 37 - 26 win over Hamilton Township.  The Falcons will play Amanda Clearcreek in the semi-finals on Thursday at 630pm at Bloom Carroll.  Liberty Union and Circleville will face off in the other semi-final game at 5:00pm.  


January 29, 2019

The 7th grade Lady Falcons suffered a loss to top ranked Teays Valley last evening by the score 30-48. Leading the Falcons offense was Elly Lewis while Emma Caton, Jenna Brown and Rylie Huffer combined for 8 points. Ava Sharp and Bradi Nutter led the team in rebounds. The Falcons will travel to Amanda Clearcreek on Thursday. 


January 28, 2019

The 7th grade Lady Falcons lost to a talented St. Mary's team on Saturday by the score 24-42. Elly Lewis, Bradi Nutter and Emily Burke combined to score 18 points while Jenna Brown, Aa Sharp and Haeley Powell each added 2. The Falcons will travel to Teays Valley this evening.

The Lady Falcons bounced back Saturday after losing to Teays Valley Friday night with an 85-27 victory over Hamilton Township. Leading the team in scoring was Hannah Burnside with 19. Marisa Malone added 12 and Katie Burke added 11. This was a great team win for the Falcons with every member of the team contributing in scoring. The Lady Falcons will host Amanda Tuesday night in a bi.


January 18, 2019

Last night the 8th grade Lady Falcons survived a tough game at Logan Elm 28-20.  The Braves defense held the Falcons in check most of the night.  Nicole Terry scored 14 and a host of other Falcons chipped in.   This moves the teams record to 10-2 on the season.

On Monday Jan. 14 the 8th grade Lady Falcons played their best game of the season defeating Bloom Carroll 44 - 29.  The unselfish play led to 8 different girls in the scoring column.  The Falcons also dominated the offensive and defensive rebounding.  Scoring was led by Niclole Terry 13 points, Kate Markwood 9 points, Isabella Neal and Maddy Clayborn 6 points, Mi Mi Thomas 4 points, Morgan Martin, Jillian Bennett, Claudia Rhymer 2 points.

Our 7th grade Lady Falcons defeated Logan Elm last evening by the score 34-27. The win was a total team effort led by Elly Lewis’ 16 points. Emma Caton scored 7 points, Emily Burke added 6, while Rylee Huffer scored 4 and Ava Sharp adding 1 free throw. Emma Caton and Rylee Huffer each had 5 steals and Bradi Nutter had 3 key offensive rebounds.


January 17, 2019
Both Lady Falcons basketball teams were victorious Tuesday night against Logan Elm.  Olivia Spillers lead the JV team in scoring with 16 points as the Falcons went on to win 46-27.  The Varsity team defeated Logan Elm 55-48.  After a slow start, the Lady Falcons fought back all game to finally get the lead in the 4th quarter and close out the game strong by scoring 21 points in the 4th.  Katie Burke lead the team with 17 points and Evie Wolshire added 16.  The Lady Falcons will take on Hamilton Township at home on Saturday.

The 7th grade Lady Falcons lost to the visiting Bulldogs last evening by the score 27-43. Elly Lewis led the Falcon offense with 14 points. Emily Burke hit a three from downtown while Emma Caton, Brooklyn Roshon, Jenna Brown, Haeley Powell and Ava Sharp each added 2. Rylee Huffer led the team with 7 rebounds and Emma Caton grabbed 4. The Falcons will travel to Logan Elm on Thursday. 


January 11, 2019

The 7th grade Lady Falcons lost a close game last night by the score 29-23. Leading the Falcon offense was Elly Lewis with 13, Emma Caton with 5 points and Emily Burke and Jenna Brown rounding out the scoring with 3 points and two points respectfully. The team was led with great defensive efforts from Rylee Huffer and Brooklyn Roshon. The Falcons will be back in action Monday evening as they host the Bulldogs from Bloom Carroll.

The 8th grade Lady Falcons dropped a very hard fought contest to first place Liberty Union 43-33.  The girls battled till the end.  Isabella Neal and Nicole Terry each finished with 9 points, Mi Mi Thomas scored 7, Kate Marwood finished with 6 points and Maddy Clayborn added 2. The loss puts the teams record at 8-2 and keeps them in 2nd place behind Liberty Union. Next up for the Falcons is Bloom Carroll at home on Monday. 


January 8, 2019

The 7th grade Lady Falcons lost to Circleville last evening after a strong 4th quarter by the score 24-33. Elly Lewis led all scorers with 14 points while Brooklyn Roshon added 4. Jenna Brown, Rylee Huffer and Ava Sharp each added two points in the effort.

The 8th grade Lady Falcons picked up where they left off before the break with an extremely hard fought win against a determined Circleville team.  The Falcons got some type of contribution from everyone.  The defense held Circleville to just 7 first half points.  Six different girls scored including three that come off the bench.  Mi Mi Thomas led with 7 points, Kate Markwood 6 points, Nicole Terry 5 points, Isabella Neal 4 points and Morgan Martin and Jillian Wilkinson 2 each.

Falcons will play undefeated Liberty Union on Thursday at home.  


December 21, 2018

The 8th grade Lady Falcons survived a nail-biter last night versus Amanda Clearcreek 26-25.  Neither team could get many shots to fall throughout the contest.  With the score tied 20-20 starting the fourth period, Mi Mi Thomas, Nicole Terry and Kate Markwood scored big baskets to outscore Amanda 6-5 in the final frame.  Nicole Terry led all scorers with 12 points Isabella Neal scored 8 all in the first half.  The win puts the team record at 7-1 overall and 6-1 in the league behind Liberty Union.  Games will pick up again after break with the Falcons starting the second round of the league on the road facing Circleville Jan

December 18, 2018
The Lady Falcons dropped a contest last evening to a battle-tested Teays Valley team. The Falcons played a great first half but the Vikings pulled away in the second half. Leading the Falcon offense was Elly Lewis, Emily Burke, Emma Caton and Rylee Huffer.

The 8th grade Lady Falcons defeated Teays Valley 43-22 last night behind some very physical post play by Nicole Terry, Isabella Neal and Jillian Wilkinson.  The trio combined to score 27 of the Falcon’s 43 points.  Maddy Clayborn and Mi Mi Thomas each added 6 points.  Aggressive defense by the Falcons held the Vikings to zero points in the second quarter.  A home game versus Amanda Clearcreek on Friday will finish out the first round of league play before break. 


December 14, 2018

The Falcons 7th grade boys basketball pushed their record to 3-1 overall and 2-1 in the MSL with a win over Hamilton Township 35-25. Caleb Schmelzer lead the Falcons with 10pts. Caleb Redding added 9. It was a great team effort. Next up for the Falcons is Teays Valley East Monday night away.

On Monday the 8th grade Lady Falcons defeated Logan Elm 39-17.  The Falcons were steady through all four quarters scoring 10 points in each of the first three periods and 9 in the last.  Leading the Falcons were Nicole Terry with 9 points, Mi Mi Thomas added 7, Kate Markwood 6, Morgan Martin and Maddy Clayborn 4 each, Jillian Bennett and Claudia Rhymer 3 each.  Great defense and defensive rebounding limited the opportunities for Logan Elm.

The Lady Falcons JV lost their first game of the year last night 18-15. Annaliese Hartman lead the team with 6 points. The Varsity Falcons were also defeated by Warren 45-43. Katie Burke lead the team in scoring with 9 points. Hannah Rauch with 7 points. Braidyn Reed, Hannah Burnside, Evie Wolshire all had 6 points

Both Lady Falcons teams were victorious Tuesday night at Hamilton Township. The JV team won by a score of 55-8. Leading the team in scoring was Brittany Devall with 14. Alexis Cymanski also added 12 points on the night.


The Varsity team defeated Hamilton 81-35. Leading the way for the Falcons on offense was Marisa Malone with 17 points. Hannah Burnside had 12, Hannah Rauch added 11, and Ava Moellendick had 10. This moves the Falcons to 5-1 on the season with a 3-0 record in the league. The Lady Falcons will play Warren at home on Thursday night. JV starts at 6PM.

Both Lady Falcons basketball teams were victorious over the weekend in their games against Logan Elm. The JV won 27-20. Leading the Falcons in scoring was Annaliese Hartman with 12 points.


The Varsity Falcons defeated Logan Elm 38-33 in a hard fought win. Evie Wolshire lead the team in scoring with 10 points, including a crucial 3 late in the game. Ava Moellendick also added 9 points for the team. The Lady Falcons will go on the road to take on Hamilton Township tomorrow night. The JV game will start at 6PM.

The 7th grade Lady Falcons rallied in the second half to defeat the Lady Braves from Logan Elm last evening by the score 35-32. Leading the Falcons offense were Elly Lewis, Ava Sharp and Emma Caton.

On Saturday the 8th grade Lady Falcons used a 30 point second half to post a 40-29 victory over the Athens Lady Bulldogs.  The Falcons started quick tallying a 9-1 lead at the end of the first quarter, with Nicole Terry scoring 6 of her 8 points in the period.  In the second quarter the Falcons were held to just one point.  Thanks to improved intensity and unselfish ball movement, the second half was much better.  Isabella Neal scored 10 points, all in the second half,  Kate Markwood scored 12, Jillian Bennett 4 points and Wilkinson, Rhymer and Martin with 2 points each.

The 7th grade Lady Falcons defeated Athens on Saturday by the score 45-3. Leading the Falcon offense was Elly Lewis with 16 points. Emily Burke and Ava Sharp had 8 points a piece, Emma Caton scored 4 points while Brooklyn Roshon, Jenna Brown and Haeley Powell added a bucket a piece. Rylee Huffer led the team with 7 rebounds and 4 assists while hitting a 3 at the end of regulation. 


December 7, 2018

The 7th grade Lady Falcons lost to a very talented Bulldog team from Bloom Carroll last evening. Pacing the Lady Falcons was Elly Lewis with 13 points. The 7th and 8th grade teams will host Athens tomorrow morning here in the middle school gymnasium.

The 8th grade girls basketball team improved to 2-1 on the season with a gritty 46-30 win over Bloom Carroll.  Balanced scoring and solid defense were once again keys to the victory.  Kate Markwood led the Falcons with 12 points,  Nicole Terry and Isabella Neal were a strong presence inside with 10 and 8 points respectively.  Claudia Rhymer, Jillian Wilkinson and Mi Mi Thomas each contributed 4 points and Jillian Bennett and Maddie Clayborn each chipped in 2 points.

The Lady Falcons will play Saturday Dec. 8 at home versus Athens Bulldogs.  7th grade starts at 10am followed by the 8th grade at about 1130am.  


December 4, 2018

The 8th grade Lady Falcons suffered their first loss of the year at Liberty Union.  Isabella Neal led the Falcons with 11 points, Kate Markwood added 3.  Morgan Martin and Mi Mi Thomas both added 2 points and Nicole Terry and Mackenzie Ruff both added 1 pt.  The Falcons will regroup and play at Bloom Carroll on Thursday.

The 7th grade girls basketball team lost to Liberty Union last evening by the score 30-19. They will travel to Bloom Carroll on Thursday for a 5:00 tip off.


December 3, 2018

The 8th grade Lady Falcons opened their season with a win at home vs Circleville. With the score tied entering the fourth quarter the Falcons outscored Circleville 14-5 to win 44-35. The team was led in scoring by Nicole Terry with 17 points, Mi Mi Thomas and Jillian Wilkinson each added 8 points. Seven different girls entered the scoring column. Great defense in the fourth quarter by Jillian Bennett, Isabella Neal and Claudia Rhymer helped secure the win.

The 7th grade girls dropped their season opener last evening to the Lady Tigers of Circleville by the score 33-19. The Lady Falcons are back in action tomorrow as they travel to St. Mary for a 10:00AM tip off.

The 7th grade Lady Falcons lost to St. Mary Saturday morning by the score 35-32. Elly Lewis led all scorers with 14 points while Emma Caton, Rylee Huffer, Jenna Brown & Emily Burke sparked a second half comeback. Ava Sharp added 5 points in the contest. The 7th and 8th grade Lady Falcons travel to Liberty Union this evening for an MSL 
contest.

December 1, 2018
The Lady Falcons JV basketball team started the night off with a 27-19 win against Bloom Carroll on Saturday night. Annaliese Hartman lead the team with 11 points, Tatum Campbell had 7. The Varsity team was also victorious Saturday night 56-43. Eight different players scored on the night with Evie Wolshire leading the team in scoring with 15 points. Hannah Burnside also contributed 13 points on the night. The win moves the Falcons record to 3-1 on the year. Their next game will be Friday night on the road at Logan Elm.

November 29, 2018
The JV Lady Falcons got a win last night over Nelsonville by a score of 31-20. Brenna Reed lead the Falcons in scoring with 11 points. Addi Sharp also added 10 for the team. The Varsity Falcons also pulled off an exciting come from behind win last night. The Falcons fought back from being down 13 to beat Nelsonville 37-36. Evie Wolshire lead the team in scoring with 9 points, followed by Katie Burke with 7. The team had nine girls score last night in what was a great team victory. The Falcons will travel to Bloom-Carroll tomorrow night for the first league game of the year.

November 27, 2018
The JV Lady Falcons defeated Miami Trace Tuesday night 27-14. Annaliese Hartman lead the Falcons with 10 points. Brenna Reed added 6. The Varsity Falcons lost their first game of the season 48-38 against Miami Trace. Leading the Falcons in scoring were Katie Burke with 10 points. Evie Wolshire and Hannah Burnside both added 7 points for the Falcons. The Lady Falcons will play Nelsonville tomorrow night at home. JV starts at 6PM. Come out and support the team.

November 23, 2018
The Lady Falcons JV and Varsity started the year out with a win Friday night against Athens. The JV won 36-25. Leading the Falcons in scoring was Brittany Devall and Annaliese Hartman with 12 points each. The Falcons pulled away late in the game by holding Athens to just 2 points in the 4th quarter. The Varsity Falcons won by a score of 58-29 on Friday night. Leading the Falcons in scoring was Evie Wolshire with 13 points and Katie Burke with 12. To seal the victory, the Falcons defense held Athens to just 5 points in the 4th quarter. The Lady Falcons will travel to Miami Trace on Tuesday night. JV will tip off at 6pm.
